Welcome to the Haney Place! Just as Oliver and Lisa bought their happy homestead from Mr. Haney on Green Acres, we bought our own home sweet dilapidated home - a 170-year-old farmhouse - six or so years ago. Incredibly, it is smack dab in the middle of the city! The renovation adventures are nonstop fun!!!

Pineapple Angel Food Cake
I won't try and kid you into thinking this is in any way good for you, but it's got the be the easiest "homemade" cake for summer. It's light and refreshing, did we mention easy? Two ingredients - and you're done. And it would be perfect to take to a picnic or a cook-out. One of our guests had his with whipped cream and cherries. But I don't really think it needs a topping. Unless you're young and trim and can afford the extra calories!
It just couldn't be simpler. Using a mixer, blend an angel food cake mix with one large can of crushed pineapple till it's light and fluffy. (A minute or so). Then spoon into a greased 9 x 13 pan and bake at 350 about 30 mins, or until it's done. You won't believe how it turns out. So very moist, and light as a feather. Try it and see!
