The Free Replacement Warranty -- Part Deux - AND LAST!!!

So -- OMG -- This is the second time.  Or so...  I am not quite sure what to say to defend her, other than this is the second time we have been GRACED by a no-questions-asked replacement policy and I am so thankful for that.  At this point, everyone's patience and understanding (except mine) has completely worn thin.  And if this was a human child, there would be a terrific scolding ensuing (not that she wasn't thououghly scolded).  BUT....dang burn it....she's trying us by being a total poop-head!!!

Stiva and I went out early this morning and did errands (BJ's and Deli Warehouse, to bring provisions into the house for the week ahead).  At any rate, when we returned home, after one hour, and AFTER LEAVING THEM BOTH SOME SERIOUSLY AWESOME RAWHIDE TOYS, NOT TO MENTION THE PEANUT BUTTER FILLED KONG TOYS FOR BOTH OF THEM (but I digress).....the SIRIUS remote control for the second half of the house had been chewed and destroyed by Marley Oh, I'm sorry Elsa.  It was all in her bed, and for the love of God, she had even started chewing through the batteries, as well.  Thank God, everyone is well, and SIRIUS is sending us a new remote at no charge, given the fact that we are long time customer.

So......here we go....

Comments, please!!!

I'll be the first to post and comment that although I am not at all happy about today's circumstance, bless her heart, we will work with her. My own dear (depression era raised) mother was willing to spend upwards to $100 to buy her a crate, but my thought is that we need to train ourselves. If something is important to us, it needs to be in a drawer or a high shelf. But I digress...

MB - I think you do need to get a crate - for the protection of the dogs, your piece of mind and your possessions! This sounds like separation anxiety. You can also try giving some Bach's Rescue Remedy to the dogs before you leave home! I'll email you details! :0)

Well, it may come to that. But this little girl's "shyness" is almost a thing of the past, and she doesn't seem to have any sort of anxiety. In fact, as soon as she thinks we are gone, she will proceed to throw her toys around and pounce on them, encouraging Tuffy to do the same. I'm guessing MISCHIEF is the main motivator here, as well as a strong desire to chew. We've gotten a basket now, and all of their toys and chews are in there, so anything is free game in there. Let's see if she catches on to that. She already rounds up all her toys and moves them around with her -- so she clearly knows they are hers.

I'm just so THANKFUL that her fears are being replaced by playful mischief! She is really very smart though, so let's see how we do. We already worked with the bells at the back door to go out. Now when she hears them, she TEARS to be back door to be let out. Now I'll start making her ring them with her nose, so that she can cue us when it's "time".
